What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device (computer, phone or tablet) when you visit. It lets the site recognise your browser, remember choices you have made, and keep you signed in during a visit. Categories of cookies we use
We group cookies and similar technologies into four categories. You control the non-essential categories through our consent banner; you can change your choice at any time (see Managing cookies).
Strictly necessary cookies
Required to run the site securely and to deliver the service you have asked for — for example keeping your session active, protecting forms, and remembering your age and consent choices. These are always on and cannot be switched off.

Used to measure the effectiveness of, and tailor, advertising and promotions. These load only with your consent. We do not currently set marketing cookies; if we introduce any, they will be listed here and loaded only after you opt in. Marketing is never enabled by default.
How long cookies last
By how long they remain on your device, cookies fall into two types:
- Session cookies are temporary. They exist only while your browser is open and are deleted
automatically when you close it — for example our
PHPSESSIDsession cookie. - Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period (shown in the "Duration" column above) or until you delete them. They let us remember your choices — such as your age and consent settings — across visits.
The exact lifespan of each cookie is listed in the tables above. You can delete persistent cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by trusted third parties that provide services on our behalf. We do not control these cookies directly, and they are governed by each provider's own privacy and cookie policies.
- Google Analytics — website usage measurement (analytics category; loaded only with your consent). See Google's Privacy Policy .
- Cloudflare — security, bot protection and content delivery (for example the
__cf_bmcookie), used to keep the site available and secure. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy .
Where a third-party cookie is used for analytics or marketing, it is loaded only after you give consent. Security and content-delivery cookies that are strictly necessary to run the site may be set without consent.
Managing cookies

- On this site: use our consent banner to accept, reject or set your preferences. We do not load non-essential cookies until you accept. To change your choice later, clear this site's data (which removes your saved consent) and the banner will appear again.
